5.25" Drive Descriptions

Apple UniDisk 5.25"

The UniDisk 5.25" drive is a beige single 5.25" drive. It is a DB-19 type drive that supports daisy chaining. It IS NOT compatible with the ROM 03 IIgs, or Macintosh LC //e emulator card.

This drive looks IDENTICAL to the AppleDisk 5.25" with the exception of the COLOR of the case. The Apple Disk 5.25" is a Platinum color.

Apple DuoDisk Drive

The DuoDisk is a 2 drive unit that uses the DB-19 connector. This drive is compatible with an Apple ][+ or //e using a DB-19 Controller card and the ROM 01 IIgs1It will not work on a //c (The //c has 1 5.25" built in) or the //c+², ROM 03 IIgs or Macintosh LC //e emulator card.

AppleDisk 5.25"

The AppleDisk 5.25" drive is a platinum single 5.25" drive. It is a DB-19 type drive that supports daisy chaining. It IS compatible with ALL APPLE computers that can use a 5.25" Apple II based drive. This drive is compatible, with the ROM 03 IIgs, the //c+ and the Macintosh LC //e emulator card.

This drive looks IDENTICAL to the Apple UniDisk 5.25" with the exception of the COLOR of the case. BEWARE. The UniDisk 5.25" is NOT THE SAME AND WILL NOT WORK IN ALL CASES WHERE THE APPLEDISK 5.25" WILL WORK.
